  11. Lol, if you are genuinely interested in the bike I have no problem people calling or coming to take a look so that they can see the bike for themselves and form their opinion based on what they see

  14. I'm feeling tactful today so here goes ....

Buying the seller is just as important as buying the bike itself.

It looks a decent example (apart from the wsb exhaust bit) so should sell given time as the market is small for these kinds of bikes. But don't limit your market by coming across badly to the place where most likely there could be a buyer. I wouldn't travel to view based upon the posts above and I can't be the only one thinking that so I'd edit them if it was me and make the sale a little easier maybe.

  15. I completely agree, I personally would delete the posts (although the point is valid, its' a bit of a game to rip adverts apart it seems!) but also I would consider removing just the part about the WSBK exhaust as from pics it doesn't look like it's currently fitted.

I realise there are receipts but as others have said, people will come on here to ask about these super rare bikes as I did on behave of a mate when he was buying a 748R for big money and if there is something slightly out of place then the more knowledgable members will pick up on it.

If your hubby is ill then most importantly I hope he recovers, it must be really tough for you all.

as above though, perhaps consider removing the exhaust bit and adding a note to say that you are managing the add on behalf of your husband.

Good luck with the sale and perhaps everyone can give it a rest now and the OP can look for another example if he has been spooked by this.

  16. "Exhaust: full world superbike spec (cost £2,500)" A Termignoni slip-on which is the most common "performance" exhaust there is for these bikes. Cost around £1000-1200 new?

"wheels: factory magnesium" They are forged aluminium, not magnesium.

"the cost to produce this bike was £21,000, Ducati could not sell the bikes to cover the costs so ended up selling them for £19,000 needless to say Ducati made a loss on the bike" I'd call bullshit on that one too :Shifty:

  18. Thanks for the advice Phil your advice is welcomed and well received I will most defiantly take your advice, I'm a reasonable person but when certain members start writing about my husband calling him a retard well than unaceptable, I will change the ad, your suggestions seems a very good idea thank you for your well wishes too.

  19. Hi there, the only reason that I commented was due to a couple of people on here personaly attacking without knowing the full details, I don't usually register on forums I check what I need to and go, but felt the need to chime in and put certain people right, imagine it was your partner someone was personally slating, I'm sure a part of you would be the same, we are in no rush to sell the bike if it goes it goes, I'm actually thinking of taking the ads off completly to be quite honest and sell it next year, I hear what your saying about the posts though and is a valid point but as explained previously without repeating myself I'm just defending my husband.
Hi there, I have took your points on board, I'm going to speak with my husband about completely removing the ads and probably sell the bike next year, I think that we will probably put the original exhaust seat etc on the bike and sell it locally, I may even ask our local bike shop to take care of it and pay them a commission when it's sold as I know that a bike shop near us has done that in the past, It could save me all the hassle lol, thank you for your advice

  20. Still looking if anyone has spotted or knows of one for sale?
