cheers for the offer ian I shall have to look up your stand again al might be a while yet before I get chance to do things
Ah yes.......Sorry John...............It works with the full fairing but not with the half fairing (which is why I stopped using the half fairing).
wasn't sure if there was differences on the frame at headstock between carby and ie I know there is at the back just going to either take the fairing off or sit down and have a good think (but that hurts )
so got bored when I got home from work tonight curiosity got the better had to try and see what the new set of silencers would look look on the bike shouldn't really start to dismantle it as I have mot next week lol but hey here is to boredom the link pipes that came with the silencers do not seem to match up with my pipework and the silencers but do not think they are needed as fire3500 (ian )said they were fitted to a carby although they are possibly for an ie when fitted in place the end piece seems to point outwards ? easily sorted though will take a bit of getting used to looking at just need the original brackets and footrests oh and plastics seat lock etc etc etc whoo winter project hah hah
Powerbronze have oil cooler guards in the clearance section for £15 reduced from £65.00, was rude not to get one
shall have to check out that dakk (still havnt finished mine lazy bugger) right the exhaust well have been waiting for a set of these to arrive got a good deal on those and a set of rear panels but always thought the carbon cans looked a bit upright the link pipes don't seem to fit diameter wise but when the original brackets were fitted the cans fouled major does not sit together at all this puts the suggestions that the cans were originally for a monster is quite feasible the pipe work on the cans have id numbers on and an L on one and R on the other well obviously left and right so on with the head scratching and standing and looking and then the silly thoughts creep in what if I put the left on the right and so forth and lo and behold it fits perfect apart from one obvious point the end pieces are well pointing skyward lol ah well a drill and some rivets will sort that
Would you be able to post a pic of your oil cooler guard fitted. The photo on Powerbronze site looks generic. Looks like a bargain but just want to be sure to be sure. Thanks.
well its like Christmas except the parcels are for me not the kids hah rear panels arrived as well as the rear bracket / grab handle the latter was new old stock and will show up the rest of the bike lol
also got my arse into gear and had a look at my oil cooler guard (ahem eventually) managed to make up the cardboard templates for the fixing brackets hopefully will have a look at making them tomorrow decided to also dismantle the carbon exhausts that I got from fire 3500 for refurb etc what a game well stuck together with carbon build up but all apart now and resembling a do it yourself exhaust kit will post piccys when got them uploaded doh
sure the wife thinks I am potty as I always tend to take things apart as soon as I buy them lol its half the fun one diy exhaust kit
Always busy there bud, at least it will all line up properly now. Managed to fit my oil cooler from powerbronze.
Make sure the mudguard doesn't clip the oil cooler guard under heavy braking........mine does so I have removed the guard.
Hopefully it will miss due to having a monster front mudguard instead of the standard item. Thanks for the heads up though..... Will keep my eyes peeled.
