  2. cheers bud glad its interesting/entertaining lol

well didnt intend this to turn into a project thread so not sure its in the right place now
well guess if moderators think it should be in project/build section probably be more suited

  3. whooo and today my led indicators arrived from china ..........more work
well also fully welded exhaust hanger brackets and started to clean welds

christ i might be in danger of getting this finished lol............

  4. so onwards and upwards today fitted my exhaust hangers now they are finished
dont know if these will be the final jobs or i will change them at some point

  11. cheers guys hope we get some decent weather this weekend
see what else i can get done

  12. HAH I WIN lol
well attacked the bike and it didnt win
dont you just love people who put rounded allen key head bolts back on a bike engine
so removed genorator side casing to sort some damaged threads mainly the ones that hold the clutch slave cylinder on
and to get to the one next to the pushrod that holds casing on as that is damaged as well
well found to my surprise casing wouldnt come of hmm
cover plate with 2 screws on casing for end of crank had rounded allen key heads ended taking a drill to them
eventually relieved enough pressure on the screws to turn them out with drill in reverse
was expecting a retaining bolt or something similar behind plate as casing would not budge to find nothing but a bearing
just to find casing slid off easy must have a sealed vacume on end of shaft with plate in place as wouldnt bloody move beforehand
    well its off
so found no gasket and a load of orange silicone (just doesnt go with the colour scheme)
right so fixed 2 threads with helicoils on casing now just got one on engine to do

oh and found one oil drip might have been the sump plug as that doesnt have a sealing washer on it
more drama than a mills and boon lol:upyeah:

  13. whoo new sump plug fitted (with sealing ring ) and a new air temp sensor fitted to boot
big up to moto italia lincoln as parts were cheaper than ebay lol

  14. +1 for Moto Italia. When I lived up north they were my closest dealer; I routinely took my bike there for servicing. Always time for a natter over coffee and a wander around the shop floor. They're particularly good on the phone for getting parts too.

  15. yep guys at moto italia really helpfull cant fault there service

oh and got another rear shock delivered today and possibility it might have been refurbed in the not so distant past
company called full travel suspension can't say i have heard of them before
well at least its a lot better nick than the current one lol:upyeah:

  16. well nice big box arrived today so that will be the new fairing

will have to get my finger out and get working and get some pics :upyeah:

  17. well got time at the weekend to do some work on bike
thought i better get ass in gear and sort the new fairing
well using the old fairing as reference points for where to drill the holes
so in at the deep end cordless in hand and a few measurements
still got to get the fairing painted yet
also fitted new bearings in the rear shock so closer to mot as well as visually better ...........
