Here's an update

Roadtrip, it's still in progress............or rather, it's back in progress

 

I've started the refurbishment of the carburettor


Vapour blasted


And ceramic coated


Ready for the rebuild

 

The front brakes have had the same treatment

 

I now need a spare part for the carb
Number 3, has a small bolt and collar holding it in
I need the bolt
It's hollow.....anyone know if it has to be an OEM hollow one or a non-standard replacement?

 

Hi, Roadtrip, the internals have not been coated.........the guy I use assures me it's fine. I think he mentioned it 1/2,000ths thick, though I may have that wrong.....but it's thin

 

Just been reading this post 2011 I bought this. After a lot of "life" stuff getting in the way, it's been resurrected
It's a bit of a long project I must admit
I've someone giving me a hand now, to get it on the road before I die, once it is i can sort out the cosmetics

 

This is the rear wheel, I'm assuming the bearings should not be sticking out and should be flush? I suspect they're the wrong ones

 

Roadtrip.....of course it will, just not sure which year

The bearings are wrong and there are no bearing spacer at either end
So that's the next thing to get hold of
Are they just a special sized washer?
