That could be bargain if it stays around starting price, had a search for a lump, seem to go for about 1200, then there’s the loom, exhaust, and other bits ect…then hope it runs…. Think I would rather get a complete runner.

Gixer electrics can be dodgy AF in bad weather. All bikes have good and bad sides. Owning a home and riding it is as much about looks and feel as it is longevity and ease of maintenance. My 1299 is coming out for the first time since I bought it next week. If trackdays don’t grab me on it, I’ll probably sell it and won’t bother with trackdays. I’d rather something I like to own than something a bit bland and ‘useable’. If I were racing, that would be different

So.. after taking a punt on a CatN 848 that was in Facebook link above, was delivered yesterday morning, gave it a deep clean and it’s come up very nice, looks to have been well looked after, and runs ok. Started looking for goodies for it, and spotted some Akra cans on EBay, looked at the photos and amazingly they were the same bike!! What’s the chances of that!? So I contacted him to ask if he has any history as I had zero… He kindly got back to me saying was stolen and recovered(from him), had a Desmo service a couple of weeks before and has good service history, if he can find service pack will forward it on! Happy Days!
