dp superpole & key guard finally fitted. i am impressed with fitment and quality but still over priced for what they are.
few mods today. got the titax levers back from the anodisers. finally got rid of that crappy off gold colour and refinished in black. top job and they look just as good as new.
frame plugs, gia moto rear sets with ti bolts and sprocket cover bought, collected and fitted! many thanks to paul (farmster). top bloke! more to come tomorrow!

Needs to save some pennies for the internals... Concerned about chocolate gear box for quick shifter... Mate had dramas with his 1098??
i had new valves, shims and springs fitted in the front end and made a hell of a difference especially under heavy braking. Quickshifters can be a bit marmite but never had a problem on my 1098 , a nice addition to your slipper clutch
That superpole seat has made a massive difference. Can go into a corner at warp 5 now and stay planted. I find it more comfy as well. Highly recommend it!
I can second that the superpole seat has made a big difference when cornering. Just a word of warning it seems to be a little higher than stock so if you are 'vertically challenged' watch out at traffic lights
Very true. I can defo feel the difference in height. Probably adds about an inch in height. Another benefit from the seat is being able to tuck my legs in without touching the inward folds of the side panels. I'm about 6,4 and overall has made the bike a lot more enjoyable to ride. Having them adjustable rear sets helps a lot too.
Many thanks... Been looking at seat reviews... If I can get a superpole seat by friday I'll take it to Brno. See some comments about being vertically challenged issues 'cause seat is about 1 inch thicker... I'm about 5'10 so keen to get feedback from similar height riders... Neoprene seat also gets good reviews... Main thing so me is trying to stop sliding forward under heavy braking.... fitted stomp grips to help with that. Keen if anyone has tried both the neoprene and superpole for a comparison. Seat I'm after is for pure track use. I can fit the standard one back on for long runs when not hanging off the bike too much... Cheers, Bob
you don't see many second hand superpole seats. there are a few neoprene seats kicking about... might be the way to go with your height, i'm not sure. farmster has one for sale. i've seen his seat and can confirm it to be in mint condition.
Bettes, Do you find the seat takes a bit more stress of the wrist's, this seat is next on my wanted list.
I went back to the original seat when I test rode my 1198 and its awful. The superpole is a massive improvement you don't move unless you want too and it gives just a little bit more legroom
Sounds great, will good to reduce the movement when braking, does it make it a bit more comfy on the wrist's, Price wise there a bit on the £'s.
