  1. ?????

  2. I searched 'tax disc placement'....

  3. Yeah, El T, but wasn't yours from bashing the bishop?

  4. Wasn't that an old corrie story line?

  5. your first ever superbike and your first ducati........i think you would of come away with this impression on a 1994 916...........

  6. I came away with that feeling from a 92 750ss after riding riding a learner CBF500!

Enjoy your 848, don't be too ham fisted!

  7. Nice one, but the expenditure has only just begun!. It'll start with a bit of carbon fibre, maybe an exhaust cover, then you'll have to buy the little inner exhaust cover, then you'll find yourself being able to justify a carbon sprocket cover and then it'll snowball, you'll have the family silver on ebay to finance your new addiction, carbon everything, after market levers, slipper clutches, temi's, it never ends!!. parcel forces profits will double due to never ending deliveries to your gaff. I think the Priory should set up a clinic for Ducati owners!!.

  8. At the risk of offending everyone - I HATE CARBON FIBRE! It's gaudy, looks like tat and is the bike equivelent of furry dice. IMO of course :)

My bike came with a carbon hugger. I intend taking it off and spraying it black. You can keep that shit! Probably the first spend will be adjustable rearsets. got to get more comfy.

@yets: yeah, I had a similar reaction going from a 125 to my 650cc vstrom. Blown away by the huge reserves of power and torque and that I could actually overtake other vehicles on a dual carriageway!

  9. You like it then ? Welcome to the world of Ducati, it's a great place to be.

  10. Wow can you get that inner exhaust cover in carbon?! I didn't know that. I've had my 848 since 1st of may it has a carbon higher and a key guard already not to mention termis. I was thinking if the exhaust cover next I'm trying not to I over the top but break out in a cold sweat when tryin to decide where to draw the line:)

  11. Noticed you're thinking about rear sets what year is your 848 does it have a quick shifter if so which rear sets will you go for. (Obviously ones with carbon heel guards are out the window) :) I've been looking at them but nobody says if they work with the ducati quick shifter.

  12. Oh God, now you're asking... its a 2011 Evo, no idea if it has a quick shifter. I did get a reccomendation on a US site for rearsets but will have to find that info out again. Just want a bit of adjustability in foot position. Though that said the position is so extreme compared to what I'm used to a few cm here and there might not make a lot of difference.

  13. I don't think that model had a standard quick shifter but I may be wrong. Have a look at the shift linkage if there is a gubins on it with a wire coming out of it that's a quick shifter. It's always possible that an aftermarket one has been fitted. If you have one you'll need to take that into account when selecting rear sets one sure folk on this furum will be able to advise you.

  14. im sure you can locate a genuine italian pre peg carbon one for just a few hundred quid....you can get anything made of carbon for a duke.

  15. thanks for the tips guys. Just got back from another ride and I feel the need to plunge both hands into a bucket of ice water. No pain no gain.

  16. Isn't it just the 848 Evo Corse that has the Quickshifter as standard?

  17. what ever happened to just calling a ducti by its cc................all this bollocks evo it this, its corse, its some sort of incarnation associated with ducati racing although just a little bit basic dressed up to be special.....

  18. And again in English?

  19. I m in all sorts of pain when I get off my 848 and every time I say to myself I need to get a more sensible bike,so I have decided to sell my 848 and guess what I am picking up tomorrow, yup an 848 corse se,heart rules my head and painfull body yet again.
I thought the 848 was the best bike in the world but I can't wait to join the evo gang :)
