848 for the taller rider?

i am 6ft1 and 11" ok for me:wink:

 

I was actually shocked how comfy these bikes are after hearing for years about how uncomfortable ducati sports bikes are. It's a longer reach to the bars than a jap bike but this doesn't really affect a tall rider

 

I went for a ride last night had had a go on my friends fireplace while he rode my 848, I felt gangly on the fireplace and very low. The 848 is considerable higher and comfortable in comparison although much narrower. I'm 6'2" with a superpower seat and have room to spare.
Also, I struggled to get my bike back off him.

 

Another 6' 2" and on my 2nd 848. Never had any probs with comfort including a run to Assen and back.

 

Damn that auto correct, it was a fireblade not a fireplace and superpole seat not a superpower seat.

Went out last night with the superpole seat fitted, me likes

 

I quite liked it been called the fireplace!:biggrin:

 

Its thicker el tel, and has more shape to it as opposed to being a flat slope towards the tank. It holds you in position better with a lot less sliding forwards. It also gives me about an inch extra which is easier on the knees. I was going to take some pics but it was dark when we returned last night. Had my tea near you, compo's café. As we were sat outside a lovely 748 went by over the isle of skye road, anyone on here terry?

 

Me too, I thought it was rather amusing and I will be using it from now on lol! Luckily, my mate has a Honda fireplace, wonder how long it will be until he wants to thump me.

It is, with an oversize mantle from I've seen on here ;-) lol
