Just tried a quote through MCN and the Ageas quote came back at £314. Or I could pay £90 less for a £250 xs..? And I prefer the scenery as it is - hedges just don't look the same with a bike sticking out of them!
When? I know it may be inevitable, but I've added the couple of mods already to the mcn quote and there wasn't any change. The only mod that's caught my eye is the Termi's, but they're out of range for the foreseeable future. Not having an ear for these beasts just yet I'm still keen on the sound of the original zorsts. Maybe renewal next year could be the time to play??
90 is less than 250. I always try to get £0 excess if i can and pay a little more up front. As long as it is less than the excess in difference I will have saved money if I drop it. Thats the whole point of insurance right?
Hypermotard 796, 24 years old, MCE Insurance, £540 & £600 xs Bit steep but heart was set of a Ducati and the only one I could really get insured on.
I opted for 220 premium plus 250 excess. That's with 6k annual mileage. The zero excess quote was for 2.5k annual mileage. Doubt I'll do as many as 6k, but hope to do a lot more than 2.5k. My theory is that if I ever do any small claim damage (sub £500) I'd cover repair costs myself, anything greater than that I wouldn't really care about the excess. And if I'm ever involved in an accident which I cause, then it's my own fault for been a tool and fully deserve to pay the excess! At least it's out the way for another year!
