If you want to test if it's working or restricted, snap open in first at 2k revs, all the way. Just don't blame me if it goes wrong
i dont care if its restricted, the restriction is only on clutch release in early gears, no biggy. i think its just a better bike to be fair
Suck it and see. If it chugs, yes. I haven't had mine for a few years now but did use more clutch than any other bike when riding around town. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Only one way to find out. Find another 848 owner (from this forum maybe) and race a quartermile or even better a 1km. Do it twice . If you are more than 1 second slower in the quartermile or 2 sec in 1km then there is a real bike issue. If not, then it is only your perception...
yeh so about 70 torque whereas my old bike had 45 [emoji23] dunno. the 848 feels faster everyday. so i guess it genuinly is me and i didnt notice sorry guys. but its almost definatly me at this point
my reason for asking is i dont know if im suppose to 'slip the clutch' alot with the dry clutch. with it fully engaged, under 20mph the bike sounds like it doesnt like it, but doesnt chug either.
its under 20mph i notice it not chug, but just sound different, like maybe i should have the clutch in a little. dunno
You have two things going on: dry clutch and slipper clutch. Slipper means you have to 'slip' it more to pull away or it will stall. Dry clutch just means it's heavier.
848's have wet as standard. At sub 20mph on mine, I'd be slipping the clutch. London riding wasn't the best when I had mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
At such a low speed I would always be feathering the clutch it might not be "chugging" but they're difficult to hold a constant throttle at low revs and any throttle movement is either gonna induce chugging if you roll it off, or a massive gob of torque will launch it if you roll it on
