But won’t it be an 1199 when you’ve finished? Sssa etc so be no different to ride? (Replying to kind off of a ride)
Rear tyre choice is the issue at the moment. Whatever size goes on the rear 6in rim will alter the geometry and thus the handling I believe. Happy to be proved wrong though.
Looks straight forward enough: https://www.899panigale.org/forum/8.../45897-899-single-swing-arm-comversion-7.html Have you priced up the parts?
Bradders; road riding so consensus says a 190/55. Giff; I’ll post final cost in December as that’s when I hope it will be done! Just in time for the snow and ice.
200/55 rear for 1199 but 899 a 180/60 on 5.5in rim. 6in on 1199. As TC on 899 can’t compensate for bigger rim/tyre combo a 190/55 from what I’ve read seems the best compromise.
Yep. Unlike the RSV1000R which I believe you can program to tell the TC/ECU what rear tyre your using. People who track their 899 hybrids running a larger 190 rear say TC backed off to ‘1’ makes it ok ish.
