Advikaz, not confused, the clue is in the thread title. In any case turns out the 899 has to have tyres which are currently supplied by a limited number of manufacturers which include some tyres that are frankly sh!t for touring through Europe in all weather conditions (ok for track days though). I have Rosso Corsas on my 999 and am well aware of how they work in ideal conditions and cold wet UK days - I would not use them for touring Europe that's for sure.
