899 First ride out

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Cupid Stunt, Nov 5, 2013.

  1. Does the 899 come with a slipper?

  2. No mate no slipper but from what I can gather it dont need one

  3. I can't believe that any quality manufacturer would ever make their new model worse than the outgoing version .

  4. pmsl,thats why so many 848 owners are taking a backwards step onto a 899 !

  5. Who's done that then?

  6. How do the terms sound?
Mark @ P&H has been citing you as an example all week about your venture shield - was it worth it?
My concern was it would make the paint look shiny where it was put rather than the satin.

  7. The venture shield is a mat finish no one has noticed it on my bike so that says a lot, the termi's sound very nice.
When do you pick yours up?

  8. hopefully this week - then the pain of the first 600 starts :(

have you had a price for the first service?

  9. I have had my first service done and Termis fitted :)
£180 for service £90 for Termis to be fitted

  10. Soi they gave you the Termis free and charged for fitting?

  11. Yes mate Termis are free but you have to pay for fitting.
But I knew that when I bought the bike.

  12. Tight arse monkeys

  13. theres no other dealers who take the piss like ducati, free termis but where gonna rip you for fitting them, and 180 pounds for £ 30 worth of oil n fiter

  14. Hmmmmm do the other dealers offer a free service with their bikes?
I've never had free end cans with a Kwak or Yamaha?

  15. But its not just any oil and filter its special ducati oil and filter and you never know you might get a free sticker !!! but will they charge for fitting it ?????

  16. Im sure the first service is only £50 with DG, Vince I think they are pulling a fast one with you as im sure there's no charge for fitting the termis either. Incidently my termis are in just need to get some decent (dry) weather so I can take my bike in.

Edit: Yep here's the link £55 for run in service at DG not sure if the £66 is for the 1199 only though.

  17. Just saying what I was quoted Bungle, can't you get them to pick it up?

  18. It was my understanding they were supplied and fitted for free. But I could be wrong.

  19. Yes they can but looking for an excuse so I can get out and put some miles on it

  20. When I enquired about the bike to begin with I was told that the Termis were supplied free but I would have to pay for fitting.
I bought a 749 from there to years n years back the same sort of deal but Termis were fitted free.
Deals change over time and from month to month, for the 899 you only get free Termis if you register the bike before end of December 2013, if you register the bike in January you won't even get the Termi's
