Jimmy, you have been a member since August, posted 100 times and not received a single thanks, every post I have ever seen from u is about how shit the panigale is, it's already been made clear u have never ridden a 899. If I were u I would seriously consider finding some positives to say to people or going and finding the S1000R forum or whatever. Back on topic, I am starting to like the white, I never liked it on the 848 evo and was surprised they did it for the 899 because I thought they dropped it for the 848 due to popularity, either way I think I like it in white, my friend said that at Milan they had a 899 black version, he may have been mistaken but I imagine it will look nice!

As has already been said, thanks for the review. I dont regret buying an 848 this year as Im not a massive fan of the Pani shape.....and the DSSA doesnt change that enough......Having said that I'm not going tolet myself try an 899 just in case it's miiiiles better P.S. Don't feed the trolls

I agree, I don't regret buying my 848 evo, love it. Horses for courses but I am deffo one that doesn't really mind about the DSS as long as it's done nicely which it is on the 899. I hated the swingarm on my Daytona 675
dave ,the carbon is not worth 4k over the std hp4 that's why and ive had the s1000rr before so I know what im getting ,as for mans you've got to be joking ,no extra electronics on the std s1000rr ,plus as ive said no one wants a panni in as they are shite, and could not get a deal on the carbon, as spent a bit of me cash buying a M3 LAST YEAR SO MY MAN CAVE IS BIGGER THAN YOUR MAN CAVE LOL .
C'mon gents, it's not an attractive trait to willy wave in public like this. im sure your both suitably well off so shall we leave that there. From a peasants point of view I couldn't warrant spending £20k on the panigale when the hp4, s1000rr or even rsv4 factory is available for a lot lot less, I'd pick it on looks without question but now the 899 is available I don't see the point. If you're chasing power or a super sharp track tool I'm pretty confident you'll find most will gel with the bmw or rsv4 quicker than they will the pani 1199. The Ducati easily wins it on looks so for me the 899 is about right. The bmw & Aprilia are as technologically advanced as the Pani, probably faster in 9 out of 10 hands and cheaper. The bmw doesn't look as nice but the aprilia is quite a looker IMO. The 899 however looks superb and I bet its superb to ride especially for the road, I don't give a monkeys about a single sided swingarm unless it brings something to the table, and they don't. but that's just me.... I'm not rich
exactly mate some ducatiists talk about there riding skills in whos got the biggest wad ,plenty of people got 2million pound portfolios but got 1.9million in mortgages lets leave the cock waving ehh and talk about why the bmw is much better than the panni ,lol btw defo not boasting about an m3 its the wifes to take the daughter to school,
There is a Dark version of the 1199 on the Ducati website which looks the dogs. I woudn't be suprised if that ends up on the 899 if it proves popular.
