  1. Its a standard 1199 casing, they list them for the 899 in the Ducati accessories brochure.

  2. Beautiful! I love it that's the way the 899 should've been from the factory & the OZ gold wheels is the pivotal point that separates yours from the rest!
    Ride safe!

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  3. Wow that looks great! I'd love one, but see what they do to them in Japan.

  5. Nice bike.Used to see many more ducati projects like this but sadly they seem more thin on the ground lately.Dont know if its the fact the bikes have got better out of the box or tougher economic times with less disposable income. For me I don't care if its a 899 or 1199 or 1199R.Id have to improve them all.Ohlins R&T forks (not ducati oe ones)Carbon wheels,STM slipper clutch,Brembo RCS master cylinders,Akrapovic evo full system and a EVR airbox on anything older with a trellis frame for starters.

As for the could have got a 1199 for that money I guess hp figures don't really matter unless racing, its more about the extra grunt with the larger capacity bikes or the more revy nature of lower capacity ones.

Or if your budget stretches buy the SP/SPS/R models and get the best of both worlds.

  6. Its more of a on going project for me,i did a lot over the winter as i saved up all summer and sold a few bits i had hanging around, only thing to do before the spring is to fit the 1199r painted tank (Cheers BigM) i just need to get a 1199 ali rear subframe, while its all stripped i will remove the rear cylinder covers and replace the cylinder head with a mag one off the 1199,i would like some Ohlins r&t forks but cant see that happening until the winter.I do have loads of bits for sale, full standard fairings taken off the bike with zero miles and the tank will be up for sale soon, also front and rear lights, rear shock new, standard cans new,pm me if anyones intrested

  7. You're most welcome sir! Looking forward to seeing the finished project:)

  8. Just a quick update, still loving the 899 and with all the time trouble and money spent its a keeper,i have been stock piling a few bits and bobs over the last few months and today stripped the bike and fitted some of them,i have been steering away from carbon but i finally gave in and fitted dp,front and rear mudguards and chain guard, all purchased in as new condition from Forza moto and Ducati parts online, both did a great deal and speedy delivery and glad to say all parts fitted perfect with zero problems. Also fitted a Shido lithium battery and some Samco hoses, battery was a straight swap, hoses were shall we say challenging, all in all happy with the results but i am craving more carbon, must resist.
