I was referring to bike luggage, not rucksacks. Indeed, bike luggage should be paint friendly, but in my experience, it isn't.
Just thought it might be a good option for you. as stated though a bit of film over the parts where the luggage will rub should keep the bike looking mint. Then you can just remove it after.
