  2. What an amazing find, such a gorgeous bike, and a great write up, thank you for taking the time to share the details of your journey with this bike.
As time moves on it's more and more of a privilege to own a proper SP bike. I'm happy to see that you appreciate the privilege through both hands on involvement and actual riding as intended.
    Congratulations

  3. Ah, so these are called “Hallmarks” in English. Good! I learnt a new word, today, thanks @Kevin Tallant . :upyeah:

In case someone is interested, we call these “poinçons”, in French. :)

@vanduc996, these bikes (all Tamburinis) are absolutely irresistible when you start working on them, in addition to ride them.

I was flying in the Air Force. Pilot on the “riding” side of the house, mecanics on the maintenance side. No mixing (in the job. We mixed all right to drink and celebrate!:upyeah:).

Why, I now get the best of both worlds!

  5. Feck my old boots, you do more in a weekend than others do in a lifetime.

#Thanks for the motivation pill as i finally got the 998 out today for a brief ride, but well worth it with this generation motorcycles.

  6. That’s the summary of three solid weeks of work, not just a weekend. ;)
There’s always a part or a tool missing at some point, that you have to order and wait for a couple days… Or some fecking bolt that you mess up.

  15. Oh sorry, I missed your words in the quote. :upyeah:

Yeah, well, that time is over now, but I have to agree. You can’t beat flying to Corsica from Dijon in 30 minutes. :D

  16. Oh dear Christy,
What a sad response to an open, positive post, giving a 'nuke'.....
It must be because you've got a piccie of one of these Ducati variants and took issue with the first 14 or so words in what I said.
    :expressionless:

  17. Hey Tony,

You know, I may be wrong but I believe some members here use the « nuke button » as a positive. It took me by surprise as well. See posts #51 to 54 above. Unless I missed something…

There was absolutely nothing to disagree with in your previous posting. :upyeah:

  18. Sorry nuke post was me for his fantastic ex-work transport !! . I also love the 916 era bikes, especially sp/sps. I'm glad to see another that's going to a good custodian, who's actually going to ride it.
