You're so right about the standard thing.....I had no interest in my Foggy at £6k when it had Ohlins forks, AP brakes, Slipper clutch, loads of carbon etc......now it's worth a SFS & a 6 pack of Wostits!!!
I didn't say you did - I said it had been mentioned - please read your own thread and show some interest
They sold one recently remember - they will give a guide price too so you missed my question re JHP - what did they say, you must have asked them
I won't waste his time until I know what I think is a reasonable offer - if in the mean time he secures a sale then so be it. If he has an offer and asks if I would beat it then when he does have one that's fare enough - if he sells and doesn't then all good too. I had stopped buying bikes but as he wanted a low mileage SFS and I have probably the lowest mile one left it got my interest - I wasn't looking particularly.
Exige...sorry....I did miss your question regarding JHP. When the bike was in for service I did say I was preparing it for sale, they didn't suggest an asking price as in their words "they have no idea what it's worth", but they did put me in contact with someone who they believed was looking for one. I've since had a telephone conversation with this guy & exchanged a few texts, he knows the price & says he's interested, but as yet he's not had time to view the bike, that could be his way of letting me know he's not really interested, but time will tell. I've been a customer of JHP for a long time, long before they had the dealership & I would consider the guys down there as friends. When I posted the bike on an owners site, John Hackett himself commented on the post, his words were & I quote "this is without doubt the best used Ducati to grace our workshops"!! Coming from John, that meant so much, as you no doubt agree that he must have seen a lot of very nice Ducati's in his time.
