I think if they send more out then stated (over the limited run)without the number on the top yoke then they make more money.thats my view,as for selling on it makes no difference to the price for me!
It will though matey, if they should be numbered. Given bikes are so old now, unless it’s 100% assured why would anyone pay top/going rate? Different if not all numbered as a normal, like 150 out of 500 but still think you’d get more for the 350 than the 150 if condition and history identical.
Hi Yeah just to confirm that I have as sps being delivered soon that although it has no plaque Ducati confirm that it is an SPS manufactured in 2008 they also confirm that not all SPS limited edition machines wete issued with plaques
You mean 1998? Seems like I think there is some confusion here between a plaque that’s in a box (999r etc) and a yoke plaque number (older Ducati models). Be warned too: I and others have broken SPS bikes and sold the frame and top yoke together. It’s quite possible that a frame is used from a genuine bike that wasn’t sold with the yoke and been part of a rebuild on a standard 9*6. I’m sure you have checked engine and frame numbers match with as factory supplied when the factory have confirmed its genuine without the top yoke number
Absolutely!! You would have to get frame and engine numbers confirmed with the factory records. original registration document is also good to have. As you say even a bike with a numbered yoke could be a fake !!
If it is an sps and the numbered yolk is such a big deal then why not buy one of these numered yolks of e bay?
