I found few chips on ebay from HGB Motorcycles Ruislip. Was recommended to try www.avantiraceparts.co.uk but they didn't have a 1997sps chip in stock. Regards Kev
Have you tried haga40 on http://www.ducati851and888.net/ - he has few OEM SP eproms last year so it may be worth trying him.
Fingers crossed the chip I've got coming will cure problem, but fear it maybe a process of elimination to find problem
