  1. is anyone buying bikes for what dealers ask these days?

  2. I've been wondering this more and more, as the dealer pricing seems silly... More silly than usual.

  3. i like this. anyone want to buy a 749 track bike built from a 2006 749 dark with about 7k miles for 5.5k?!

  4. Try getting money/discount off a dealer though :joy:
Even for cash I’ve rarely got more than a couple of hundred quid off the asking.
Maybe I’m doing something wrong

  5. 9k ovno would be my starting price on the bike in the OP :)

  6. maybe it’s a case of needing to be prepared to walk away, which ,any aren’t

  7. You’ve had it on a while at higher price, so market suggests it’s too high.
Although imho it seems a great price!

@Cream_Revenge soon to be opening up a bike dating site….

  8. More "swinging", just chuck the key in......

  9. If it’s the right bike, yes but I’ve been seeing a lot of BMWs being traded in for different makes because the BMW dealers are inundated with second hand stock and don’t want to or cannot take it. Also seeing some styles just sitting there, Triumph Tigers being one of them. We’ve gone from new bike supply issues making second hand prices strong to a cost of living crunch that has left dealers with money tied up in second hand stock that people don’t want to afford. Just my thoughts. Andy

  10. TBH Ive been making some calls and bit of web time this weekend, and not sure what to do now have 3 options not 2!

New option - with what I was going to spend, I could sell the 959 and almost upgrade to an early V4S for not much more as a track toy

Or Stick with the 959 route of doing it as a track bike myself which was the original plan, but based on road trim holding its money so well since I bought it seems less appealing

Which led me to the final option - sell my 959, get this and would only have suspension to do if we did a deal

All 3 basically end up me spending about the same amount give or take so its just a case of which suits me best, do I want a project or bike upgrade ETC.

Lots more thinking to do th, could go any way at this point!

  11. have you advertised your 959 yet, I am half thinking about getting one & would be interested in some info.
