Hi. I am going to sell my 900SS but it is non standard. I have owned the bike since 2004 and it is low mileage, less than 15,000. It has no fairing, higher bars, footpegs forward about 50mm and a flat more cushioned seat. Also the front sprocket has three fewer teeth to lower the gearing. That is because I found the clip ons and rear sets uncomfortable and it was snatchy to ride in town. I can now do 30mph in third smoothly. Otherwise everything else is standard. I can send photos if you are interested but it won't suit you if you are looking for a standard bike.
Sorry for thread drift but Down 3 - making it a 12? Going smaller than a 14 is not generally a good idea. Even with a 14 there isn’t much too chain clearance at the swingarm pivot, so with a 12 I would expect to need to replace the chain guide every other ride! I can’t imagine setting chain tension is easy either as the run length will change a lot unloaded to loaded. Must be tight as a drum unloaded to be right when loaded, or if set normally unloaded, slack as a… in use. Down one on the front, up however many you like on the rear to get what you need is the well trodden path.
