yep they are the ones andy. they were from my old 1098. are those connectors used anywhere else on the bike or can you buy them with the pins to fit? id really like to replace that section of the harness. suppose i could change the connections from the 1098 coil leads to a different style block connector if not. bought a crossplane yamaha r1 over the weekend. it gets delivered next monday. i took some pics of the 999 to put it on ebay today. opened up the laptop, downloaded pics to sell it. spent the next half hour just looking at the pics. i cracked...... just cant bring myself to sell it! i cant remember how many years its been since ive had such enjoyment from a bike. i'll just get a better RAC cover and keep the duc where it is
It's a common issue .The front coil gets wet easily when it rains. It's worth removing after a wet ride to dry it out.
