  3. Tank dent removed and ready to paint. It's true colour with the building primer is a kind of mustard that looks very cool.

  4. Er...no. Mustard looks like mustard. It doesn't look good on trousers or bikes. It looks good in packets and jars of Colemans. Fortunately, this is undercoat and it will look cool. Because you aren't going to paint it in mustard.

  7. Good on yer , a bit of individuality ( ever considered a wrap ? )

  8. Daddy's a sprayer for 50 years, just discussing now and I'm going to buy a compressor and do it in spring.

  9. Does ya dad not have some gear to lend ya? Only buying decent equipment ( which you need for a decent job) is quite expensive. More than this though, enviroment , as in prep area and dust free area/booth is a massive factor in a good job.
I have done a lot of spraying (airless mostly on large projects) but do have a lil experience with conventional.
Have a good size portable compressed you'd be welcome to borrow any time

  10. Cheers for the offer

Dads 83 so the stuff is long gone. Amazing what he can do with a rattle can so should be ok with a 50L compressor.

Thinking this may be our little project before he pops his clogs. Meaning I'll have to keep the bike forever.

  11. I bought a metal polishing kit from thepolishingshop.co.uk a couple of years ago. It was great for polishing the pipes on my Scrambler.

  12. Looking good ( surprised they needed done on such a new bike, is it all the salt on those Fife roads )

  13. They haven't got a very good finish to start with and rapidly turn dirty brown. I found that after polishing them they stay looking good for much longer with just going over with Autosol every few weeks keeping that way.
The Scrambler has never seen salt but I'm sure we have saltier roads here in Angus than Fife does. :p

  15. i'm doing my best to keep her on target, but it's not easy....

  16. bought a set from them last year, good stuff and very helpfull.

  17. Wheels in, exhaust back on with spare tank. Started 2nd press, not bad when not started since October and fuel pump has been in a box.

Quite liking the black tank with silver frame.........(decisions decisions).

Only lost 1 bolt so far !!!!

Sounds nice with decat exhaust, but not offensive, be interesting to get a reading.

10 points to the 1st person to spot the deliberate (ahem) mistake.
