keep the 999s they look absolutely class was going to sell mine 749s & go for a 848 but iam not going to i so like the 749/999 they are so fresh looking the fact they are the so called ugly duck ( not by me ) makes them iconic & they will be sought after prices are going up, plus yellow is the colour dont you think.
Yes ,I do think yellow is the best colour for the T9,it doesn't look so good on other models though,the shade seems to change in different light on the 999,went out for a sunny evening ride recently and it looked like burning gold,absolutely gorgeous...I wouldn't change it for a humdrum 'every body's got one' red.And I also totally agree that the shape of the T9 is becoming more accepted and desired, its only taken 10 years !!!...in another 10 years people will be seeking them out as the one to keep.
Ive had my 1198 pinned and my mate has breezed past me like I was standing still. Things is frighteningly quick on a straight. Frighteningly.
One of the main reasons I went for YELLOW is because it stands out so much more than red that & everyone else goes for red. Come on Ducati start painting your bikes different colours. Black is good as well. Not sure about the matt finish on some of the 848 etc just not used to that kind of finish yet. Recently I put my 749s up for sale thinking that I really needed a change but after being out for a few rides over the past sunny days Iam not going to sell. The shape the sound the steering the whole feel of the bike { my Duchess } who is called Siena :Kiss:, this is why I own a Ducati 749s I love her. She is stunningly gorgeous.
Was this to show the 1198 was better in the usable rev range? Or were you trying to say it was deficient right at the top stratosphere ?
