  1. before you buy the earlier one take a look at later one,, big big aesthetic difference,, you may regret.

  2. Statement....... I appreciate everyone's input, i didn't mean to upset anyone, I never do. I think i musta pressed the wrong icon, big fat fingers... Small iPad, will let you know how I get on

  3. Why? Because you get valid answers to your questions then
Maybe that's why you don't like the Forum, you upset people and then get wound up, your fat fingers confuse people, then you attack ;) Maybe it's a better place than you imagined after all, other than TTonup or whatever he's called - I have him on ignore so can't see his replies as they are usually strange and certainly seldom relevant. :Hilarious:

Let us know how you get on, as FE say's - if it's been tracked all it's life be wary as this is likely, look for signs of this.

Good luck and let us know how you get on! :upyeah:

  4. C'est vraiment incroyable!

  5. or you could buy one of those Filla replicas,, well at lest the paint is replica !!:Banghead:..
bit of a wankers bike I think.

  6. £5856 seems like a very good price for a 2003 999R.However id be very wary if it doesn't have full service history.

What seems like a bargain could be a very very expensive fix.But I guess if your saving that kind of money in the first place as its so cheap could be worth the risk.I wish id never mentioned the power change now lol.The funny thing is my standard 916sps engine makes 137 at the rear wheel so im sure the 999R owners can work out what that is at the crank or output shaft.

Buy it and if it all goes tits up take it down a quite lane and burn it and claim off the insurance.Mind you I bet if the engine is completely fucked you could still make a profit breaking the rest .

  13. Just to finish this post, I bought the bike, its in excellent condition I've been running around a bit on it and it's pretty incredible, I've put it back to standard with the correct tail light, put on original mirrors. I been watching 999,s. On eBay and there are a lot with black sub frames on the early ones so that's cool, it's got plenty titanium bits. it was serviced before I bought it in respect of oils, chain etc, I'll be putting it to Ducati Newcastle in the winter for a full service. all in all I'm very happy with it, well worth taking the chance thanks for all the input
