A question for the long distance tourers

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by freshage, Jan 16, 2014.

  1. Which is why, bradders, you need to get yo' ass on the eurostar to France and let rip. You have no excuse at all.

  2. Except wife, time, work...oh and trackdays, racing...all gets in the way

  3. There's always a reason to put things off.

    Just do it!

  4. Just excuses. Would you like to hear all my excuses for not riding all winter? If you want to, you will.

  5. Some things are reasons, others excuses ;-)

  6. One or the other. Get to the chunnel bradders, you will not regret it.

  7. Ive just had a squint on the website. I could do five days for £50-70 return during May.

I may just look into that :upyeah:

  8. Yeah its as cheap as most ferries and far easier and quicker. Used it fair few times now

  9. If this non-smoking lark goes to plan I'll be up for a quick weekend blast somewhere towards the end of summer. I know some ace roads within a couple of hours of Calais...

  10. Might take you up on that :upyeah:

  11. +1. Make it a bank holiday and even better ;-)

  12. If you would consider it after the end of the Sunday league football season and let an ex-Multistrada owner come along (OK, so I ride a Honda now, but am a dab hand at fixing Multis...), I could well be tempted

  13. August bank holiday?

  14. How does Fri 22 Aug 10-12noon back monday 25 1800-2000 sound....£50!

I think this is the BH..

  15. Sounds very interesting. Let me get my hols out of the way :upyeah:

  16. This is one reason why I avoid going south of Kendal. There are others

  17. On that schedule, could reach Cochem (on the Mosel) by Friday night, spend Sat and/or Sun at the Nurburgring, back to Calais on Monday. I'd be up for that.

  18. Sounds like a new thread coming....have done the mosel stuff etc quite a few times, be nice to go somewhere else. Last few times we stayed at a place right at the bottom of Cochem bends, Panarama think it was called...

  19. Bradders, have you thought of doing the portsmouth - le havre overnight ferry?

  20. Dont do ferries Martin, would rather leave at 0630, Folkestone by 1000 chunnel, back on the road by 1100. Dont lose any time and cheaper irrc
