I often get people calling me at home to sell me things. When they ask for me I say, wait and I will get him. I then place the phone on the desk and leave it. Eventually I guess they hang up. I sometimes wonder how long it takes them to realise.
I once told someone that "I" had been shot and killed in a gang gunfight when someone called asking for me!!!!!!!!!!!!, never been called again by them, probably not surprisingly.
