Hi @Riko Do you sell the brackets for the 1260 Multistrada Enduro? If so what is the price shipped to Norway? Regards Kjell B
Good afternoon I have a question for you. The 12 V accessory socket on the left side of the fuel tank has a plug installed with short wire ends (normally used for connecting a GPS). It would be possible to turn on the auxiliary headlights there. I ask this question because here in Brazil the original auxiliary headlights from Ducati cost much more, really expensive, mor than $1000. So I bought auxiliary headlights with the same characteristics as the originals and now I need to install and if it is possible to connect the headlights to this socket it would be much easier than connecting directly to the battery. my bike is a 1260S Multistrada GT 2020. Thanks
Good reminder, I noticed one of my fog lights on my very new 1260 GT has condensation in it... I need to take it back or tackle it my self. Anyone had the issue before?
The 12V feed for the Sat Nav (GPS) is a switched live, so could be used to trigger a relay for auxiliary lamps. It could be used directly for low power LED lamps as this was how the Ducati LED auxiliary lamps were connected on the pre-DVT (2010-2014) models; the loom supplied with the lamps plugged into the Sat Nav socket and as well as connecting the to the lamps the loom had another socket so you could still connect a Sat Nav - item 7 below. The loom also had a dedicated handlebar switch to switch the lamps on/off - item 8 below. The part number for the this loom is: The part number for the swich is: Let us know how you get on.
You might be able to buy the brackets and fixings from a Ducati dealer as the same aux lamps and brackets were fitted as standard to the 1260 GT You can get indicative prices or order online from https://www.bike-parts-ducati.com/ See the online parts list for Aux Lamp Accessories page for the 1260 GY MY2020: The price might be a bit of shock as the right and left brackets are £33.61 each Hope this helps. Super helpful, I am just about to butcher the brackets of my fog lights to fit with the crash bars... Nice to have spares!
As I recently discovered, if a generic “accessory” ends up being fitted to a model as standard equipment, parts of the generic “accessory” are usually available to order individually. If the Ducati auxiliary lights were not fitted as standard equipment to any model, you’ll need to explore a different supplier to a UK dealer. Andy
Hopefully the brackets for later 1260 version of the spotlights are the same as those for the older 1200DVT aux lights (the former being black in colour, whilst the latter were silver). The light unit mounting points are different, though in the case of the black finish 1260GT ones there appears to be a two point to one point, and a 'peg', adapter plate (2x part #9) for each light. Whereas the earlier silver finish units have the two point mount built into the light body itself which mounts directly to the bracket without the plate. Hopefully they use the same base mounting bracket if you're looking to mount the old silver finish lights.
