Agreed, superb motor for a fast road bike. A bit suspension tweaking and good tyres required if you want to play. I just got tempted by another bike when mine went in for a 15k service, or it would have had more tweaking. That said…the S1 was fun, extremely fast and mine did not blow up! Though it did have an appetite for back tyres.
Strip the decals? (PP Livery or rim strips?) i suppose the anodised bungs could go......but theres not much anodised stuff on her....;-) the right price.....Is what we are trying to as I mean i thought id gone overboard with the modifications but this looks even less like a Mutley than mine ;-0
I always thought the 2013-2015 were the best looking, all they needed was quality suspension and good tyres. Seems manufacturers go for a completely changed bike every few years and IMO sometimes go the wrong way with heavier, fancier, more gubbins instead of just refining. Anyway, good luck with the sale…or keeping a fine bike.
That's a little harsh on yourself. You've customised the bike to be what you want. But like house hunting and bright colours, it's not going to be everyones cup of tea and it's certainly not a blank canvas from which they can make their own customisations.
Mucah appreciated...other than the rimstrips....ses fairly normal i think ;-) the aim im guessing here wa to ensure that there was literally nothing else to put on her ;-) but she will have to go regadless of the effort as it just doesnt make sense at the moment.
My mate has had 3X S1000r, reckons it the best bike he’s owned and he’s had a fair few. As you say they eat tyres, he’s had no better than 1500 miles from a rear. He didn’t like the Euro5 he briefly owned before returning to the Euro4.
Thats lovely to hear but not a great deal to do with the actual thread......maybe I should start a BMW thread on the Mutley forum?
