I have the very same situation and emailed Chris at CJS today, he seems to think remapping the standard ECU is the way to go but didn't comment on akrapovic vs termi. I don't trust those Akrapovics on eBay, crap pics and not too much info worries me.....
I'm told its the other way round mate.... I was lucky enough to work in Brazil a couple of years back to help out the VW warehouse over there in a consultant capacity.. Met a chap there from Italy who was also assisting the effort from a lean managment POV... He'd just come from Ducati Bologna & he was a biker too... Said that ALL of the Ducati cans be they standard or not are manufactured / delivered by Termignoni..
Not a fan, don't like the studded end can thing, I think Leo Vince are 3rd on my list behind termig and akrapovic. Interestingly I would like titanium as they don't burn through as easy when the packing starts to go but don't think u can get them in road legal.
If I remember correctly, the Ti ones are the road-legal slip-ons (with the baffle inserted). All the carbon Termi's are track-only.
I have these for sale, brand new/unused. Normally retail at £1198. Beutifully made and sound amazing, removable db killers £750.00 ovno
i believe you. but i bet they're not as awesome as those things hidden by the tee shirt in your avatar pic! good luck with the sale!
How many do u have just the one set? Need to talk the mrs onto it not sure how long that will take lol
Got mine while on my hol's in Florida, you wouldn't believe what I paid for them Brilliant quality, much better finish than Termi's
Had Termis, Akra's and these on my 1098 and 848, They sound very similar to the Termis' but beat them hands down on finish. The Akra's are fantastically finished but pricey. I just mapped the ecu myself using Ducatidiag, cost £60 all in for the cables and mapping writer.
