Gavin (GIA) passed away, he didn’t go bust. He was making frames right up to the end. I believe his brother started another company making similar frames.
Sorry to hear that they did a repair on an ally swingarm for me as they were just down the road in Stapleford and it came back like new, but the next time I visited it was all closed down.
So the story goes: Sweary bob and Stuart were business partners, Bob wanted to retire so sold his share to Stuart (the crook) Garner who then (apparently) did a load of dodgy shit, including forging partner Stuarts signature on a load of documents which sent Spondon under. I thing Gav of GIA was an employee at Spondon who set up on his own after Bob left
