Strange how easy it is to mis-interpret sometimes. I initially read - "All I can do is gin and beer it"
Wish I could ride to Australia,..no chance of getting a bloody flight there at the minute Number 2 grandson born in July and not seen him yet
Yeah, I’m not convinced about stretching either. I’ve exercised all my adult life and I’m 56 now. When I was younger I never ever used to stretch before or after. Never any need. As I got a bit more creaky pain would creep in. I was advised to start stretching. So I did. And everything got worse! So I quickly reverted to plan B. Fuck the stretching. It’s shite!
The reason to stretch before, is especially calf in over 45’s, is to get some warmth in the muscles. If running, even if you stop for a min or two at lights or a chat, you should stretch as calf tear is painful and quite likely in comparison to when younger.
Sure is, still got issues 30plus years after doing mine. And terror if I wake up with cramp in the same place, as I know how much more pain could be around the corner. Stretch and rub, works on the calf muscle too
I did my right 3 years ago playing rounders, and my left 5 months ago running down the stairs. I'd rather get run over than try and run across the road without stretching now
It is painful to start with as in yoga until you get used to turning off muscles you don’t use. Once your there stretching can be done anytime in the day Ya big baby
i thought that but a year into yoga has made a lot of difference for me Painful to start with as I had muscles that had stuck solid especially my shoulders and my back from my fracture and bone damage
