  2. Let me know how you get on with the new filter, i am due for one myself this spring when i check my valve clearances and have heard the same things about OEM having a poor seal around the ends.

  3. Can't see any Ducati fitments on their website.... :/

  4. Going to keep a close eye on this.

  5. Bike is going in for the belt service tomorrow. It will be a few weeks before I get her back but I will post up when I fit the K&N filter. Maybe some pics too!

  6. My bike has a 70mm system, DP race Ecu and DP filter....would I need to buy the "race only" version of the K&N or MWR filter?
In other words, is the DP filter equivalent to a "race" filter?

  7. Ah yes, my SS had a Porsche 924 filter. The 999 ones are much more specialist though.
There are two, which sit at the end of long air runners, which stifle the induction music terminally.

  8. I dropped my bike in with Ducati John on Saturday for the full service, nice guy. He is sorting the K&N air filter for me and fitting it for, in essence, the same price I could buy one for so I won't have any pics sorry.
Nice guy, great set up and some lovely Ducati's in his workshop. He went through everything with me and left me feeling my bike is in good hands.

  9. Had a chat with Rich Llewellin at Louigi Moto....he'd never heard of any issues with air filters not sealing properly on 848/1*98.
He recommended Pipercross Race filter for 1098R with 70mm system and race ecu...so I bought one from his ebay shop.

  10. Sprint air filter... No need to wash and lube...only air to clean it!
