I wear an Alpinestars TechAir 7 beneath my Dainese one-piece suit, also use below my street jacket. The former takes up the same space/volume as my old passive back protector. This Alpinestars offering has T-shirt shaped protection as opposed to a vest (as per Dainese) and I also liked the long back extension. (I'm 6'2" and most backprotectors skimp a bit on the the lower back for taller people) Alpinestars have a detailed size chart to suit all shapes and sizes. Very happy with fit, charges with a USB-C and links simply with a proprietary app.
