Just had word from a friend of mine that works at the airport and they asked security the question on my behalf this morning.................anyway I should be ok with the armoured jacket and jeans. However armoured gloves are apparently considered a problem :O
It's going to be hot in that lot. Only other way is to add a check in bag, stuck it in there and be cool. But I'm sure you've considered that already.
From someone who works at the airport a definite no no is to put your helmet in with your luggage you’re far better off taking it on the aircraft with you and the free space in your suitcase use for your riding gear
All clothing, helmet and stuff will go with the bike in a stillage so will be collected from the depot. The reason I want to wear my riding gear is so that I don't have to frig about getting changed in the depot as I did last year. It was a right arse on.
