There's still one left in the UK according to the Telegraph. So the party to celebrate the carbuncles final (and longed for) demise remains on hold. That thing is up there with all the AMC shiters! https://www.telegraph.co.uk/cars/features/uks-rarest-cars-1985-alfa-romeo-arna-sl-the-only-one-left/
that is virtually what it is, a colaboration between the two manufacturers but with Nissan (Datsun) calling the shots on the body "styling". The name given comes from Alfa Romeo Nissan Autoveicoli.
Think I'll have a couple at that price: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/30566524...uBX4yTgYEVXTzLbbUF7NPurQ==|tkp:Bk9SR4ybgO3LZA
that alfa/datsun is surprisingly bowf. especially when Datsun could design a car like this without an Alfa collaboration. . . the old man had one of these in 1974. same colour. if i mind right the reg was GNS100N.
My dream car the 240z , unfortunately I didn’t buy one when they were affordable and instead ended up with the car behind it in the picture.
that's a 260. and funnily enough, the 370 is the only car outside of a Maserati Granturismo i would go out my way to look for.
I can’t tell the difference between them apart from the badge on the rear, I know the 280 had the big rubber bumpers for the US market though. I still have my 350 after 14 years
i could be wrong, but the 280 had rear seats. the 260 only had two front. when we were all in it and not in the family car, a black Capri Ghia Reg GNS700N (how can i remember this when i have just remembered it's the Mrs B.Day tomorrow and will heading out soon in secret to get summit) there would be four of us in the boot with at least two of us hanging out the sun roof, proably to get some fresh air as there would be two adults in the front smoking like a lum. ah, the good ol days.
The 240/260 also came in a 2+2 version with rear seats , not as pretty but rare, my mate had one years ago.
