Here's my home-made mild steel bracket, you just need an M5x25mm allen bolt with locknut to handle the vibes - don't ask me how I know - hope this helps!
Thanks very much. This is what I pictured, the bolt is bigger than most readily available brackets that size. I may have to fashion my own, but first I will go to a real hardware store (not Home Depot or Lowes) to see what I can find. I installed one of these on my '14 RT and had no problems but for the mount. I like your ground too.

On a personal note, I think it's a shame that we even have to resort to extreme measures like this just to get noticed on the road. It's all about mutual respect and awareness, but unfortunately, not everyone seems to get that memo.
It's along the lines of paying extra for a comfort seat to replace what can only be assumed to be the standard 'uncomfortable' seat.
