Always A New Project!

  1. Get searching for parts now you know different models fit - rebuild the engine so the bikes history is still good. Just start looking - lots of parts on US and Italian Ebay remember.

  2. I wanted to but I'm not the mechanic here and I don't believe Al's heart is in this and he's the one with it in pieces in his workshop! He's never asked you what he could do? he's had the bike since last August, it'll never get done. So to keep it simple I'll sell the bits and get a newer bike to play with, I've got the 996 to ride at the mo.
With your knowledge, what should I do with the ECU, as I believe looking in the accessories catalogue it came with the racing camshafts (power kit), fitted at the same time as the Termi exhaust. Don't the Termi need a race ECU as well or just sell them all seperately?

  3. I would imagine the ECU should go with the Termis's and cams if it was a kit / option, was it a full system? @comfysofa may be able to comment more.

  4. So with all these cost saving ideas, why does someone not make Jonny an offer for the rolling chassis and all the bits and start a project? Someone must need a Lockdown Special?

  5. I did think about it for a fleeting moment but I have no room and too much going on o_O I have seen the bike - it is very very nice
Maybe an advert selling as is @Jonnyfireblade ?

  6. @Felstmiester has an 1100S that someone fitted Termis to but didn't fit the ECU and just disconnected the Lambda sensors and servo electrics leaving the dash looking like a christmas tree, he's a thread running about it on here. There may be some mutual benefit there.

  10. In the process of trying to research parts prices to post, when the problem of the ECU came up again! Last year I got knocked off my Fireblade and ended up breaking that too! And when I sold the ignition set it needed the ECU as were programmed together. So is it the same with this? As the bike won't start with the keyed been seen, so is it coded to the ECU?

  11. @chrisw will be able to answer, he's into this particular kind of witchcraft :):upyeah:
