1198 An Odd Day

  1. Undo the oil cooler from its hanger and push it to one side (I tied it out of the way rather than let it just hang off its hoses).

    I used a 1/4 drive t bar with a 10mm socket and access was fine.

  3. New 1098r header pipe on (for reference it does fit an 1198s). The three threads it bolts on to are quite small i thought, was conscious not to over tighten and bend one or all of them off.

    One of the fairing bolt plastic lugs on the underneath of the bike snapped off as the bolt and its receptacle were fused together by road grime, so might have to get two new lower fairing sections. Anyone on here bought an aftermarket cf one, if so where from and how was the match to the DP stuff?

    New battery is on too, and it only shows 12.3v when ignition is turned on. Once running though it shows 14.5 - does this sound right?

    Also (as in my second video), is the delay before it starts normal? Don't remember that happening before, but could just be my memory :)

  5. If you measure voltage with a multimeter then it would read 12.80 ish... Dash voltage always lower... Was the same on my aprilia
