That’s tricky as I don’t know how far you can go each day on your Scrambler. Just make it up as you go along, using hotels.com or bookings.com. Hotel le France in Aubusson is nice but there are probably cheaper alternatives. Use the old N9 (D809) between Milau and St Flour instead of the motorway and go see the viaduct at Garabit. Designed and built by Monsieur Eiffel. The roads through the Cantal from St Flour to Gueret pretty good.
I just saw a sign for Mc Donalds... I'm just a few k's from the French border... I wasn't too g to stop there but a royal with cheese sou d's tempting!
Eating Mc Ds in the UK - maybe. Eating it in Spain or the south of France - fcuk no. Have a french Pan bagnat if you want something quick, or steak hash avec frite at your nearest Casino supermarket. Better still find some moules mariniere!
I set off at 10am and have covered about 80 miles... took the n123 and then the n230... absolutely breath taking... So hard to focus on the road.. the roads are amazing... I was slowed quiet a bit at one point as I had a sudden bit of vertigo or something and It got so windy I was sure I was going to crash!!! All good now though

Roads and weather looking great As to McDonalds... FFS, I'm with Jez900ie on that one, get something more in keeping with where you are, even if it's just a croque monsieur.
Spent maybe an hour on the n125 which is a great road.. then lots of small stuff through farm land that looks very English but with a mountainous back drop...is that a word? Mountainous? Looks funny... Anyhu it's been pleasant and the weather is cracking.. 2 hours from Carcassonne. .
Had a croque monsieur an hour back when I stopped for gas... there was a lil food but there.. it was ace... no pics France side as my own was flat, it's been under the seat on charge ..
