someone has spun bologna around and I can't find my fav Bolognese joint... So I've opted for a pint and some talent spotting as this spot.
Dam... I'd forgotten how much I like bologna .. not much to do but eat, drink and bird watch.. I love it!!! Shoulda spent a night here and hit prato in the morn...
Actually that's not true... the ride from bologna to here was pretty fucken cool! The 2nd half especially.. Was on the sp7 then sp1 road.. It's twisty as you like . The first half has a few to many villages and is a bit lumpy but is very picturesque and twisty.. The 2nd half is just great fun!! So great I took fuck all pics as I didn't want to stop!! Perhaps the lil scrambler ain't so bad or slow as I caught up to and passed a good few bikes...
Will post the few pics I took a lil later as download time sucks here... Not a fan of prato so far.. unlike every other European town I've been to so far it doesn't seem to have a heart to it... I walked around for an hour ( after walking an hour to get to the centre) and whilst there is a few handsome buildings and statues, it's not a patch on anywhere else I've been so far... Also most of the life seems to be in shadowed lanes, I couldn't find a nice sunny spot at all... Tbh I may just need to give it a bit of time and I was pre pissed of cause of the hotel... It's an hours walk to the centre, I payed strong money to be there as it was kinda the last place available.. It's supposed to be 4 star.. my arse.. The room is nice but it's a shit hole on the outskirts surrounded by car yards... There is no restaurant and none for a mile in either direction, the bar is pants as in 1 type of bottled beer, that's it for beer.. it's got 4 barstools and they are all empty.. Despite having a good size bit of land out the back it's over grown and no outdoor area to sup a beer and enjoy the sun.. I'm well pissed off..
