Slowly making my way to Bilbao .. Well quite quickly actually.. knocked half an hour or the navs eta in 2 hours .. Done 100 miles .. first 30 through shit dual carriageways , road works all the way but after that, back to the Spain I love . Not the best views but good roads.. Turns out that without strong winds, the lil scrambles can cruise at 90 and feel good.. Still don't want to thrash it but if the 620 monster can handle it I'm sure an 800 can.. Im 2 hours from Bilbao and feeling good.. Shame it's nearly over but all good things must come to an end . Actually looking forward to my own bed and a bit of normality ..
Just spoke to my lil bro ( who has largely sponsored this trip) and he's flying out to China tonight and then onto NZ in a few weeks... I'm gutted... Wanted to catch him before he left London... Don't know when. I will see him again... He will probably never read this thread but he is a legend and I love him to bits... Well I'm Bilbao ....not what I expected.. Not sure what I expected! Anyhu, I made it here in very good time .. The first and last bit of the trip were shit but 1.5 hours were superb .. Picked up the an132a I think it was then a132 then the n240 again!!! 50 miles of riding bliss . Didn't stop for pics as I was in the zone man!!!. Got here just after 4 and had KFC! Then I rode to the port for a reccy and thought I'd book a hotel near there . There is nothing there soe near there turns out to be 500 feet from the KFC I stopped at earlier .. But at least I know how long it takes to get there (20 mins) and know where the correct entrance is . Went to the wrong one in Calais and it took 30 to get to the right one ..
