That’s my strategy also. Last December I bought 4 bikes and sold em all in April and may. Had to travel a bit but was worth the effort
Shit - missed that. No, Im out with my mate for beer and curry tonight. Meeting in the boozer at 6:00 so I need to get my skates on.
Will they serve you cos at 4 ft 9 or whatever you are you will need Id and a chair to stand at the bar with
5 9" too with no issues on footage on the ground on the 959 with OE seat, different matter with the race seat! Will be the same as the V2R. The V4 sits pretty much the same really, perhaps a little taller due to slightly wider seating...
Ok, so when I had sobered up (this afternoon) I took her out. Gave her a bit more stick than the first ride. The R is not as easy to ride as the V4, but only at lower speeds where it seems to surge a bit, especially on a trailing throttle. Answer? Go faster of course. Well, its certainly not slow. Tyres are scrubbing in nicely and I am getting ever closer to the edge, something I could never achieve on the V4 (different profile rear, I know). Anyway, bloody love it.
Get it remapped to get rid of that shitty throttle response at the bottom And fit the throttle spacer kit
I deffo preferred it because the nature of the twin and the play in the throttle just ended up with the see saw effect on the throttle down low. Used to do my head in. The spacer kit made it stiffer which is what it needs to stop the on off effect. Couple that with a remap and that gets rid of the bad fuelling down the bottom end. Also drop a tooth on front sprocket or stick 2 teeth on the rear
Ime it removes lag. On older wire throttle, really helpful, and means two grabs aren’t needed for the bike at full gas. Problem on modern bikes is the fly by wire means the action is not at the wrist as much.
