Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Advikaz, Aug 23, 2015.

  1. Over time they sounds quiter .."Im probably going deaf"... stick a big exhaust on it... then find a nice fit bird to ride on the back of the bike with ya..... that will sort the mrs out...lol... ps . let me know how you get on ... i mean speeding past the house with a fit bird on the back of your bike... I only got 1 seat... threw the passenger seat in the bin.

  2. ha!

I'm not having the rear pegs fitted, nor the pillion seat.

Have to be some static bikini shots then...

    Lead balloon springs to mind!

Missus is part Italian, you'd think she'd "get it"

  3. I would say (Based on my test ride and owning the 848) That the most important thing is a lower radiator guard, it's really exposed. I had a big stone chip on my 848 Oil Cooler in the first couple of hundred miles so fitted one. They are so cheap and a new radiator probably wouldn't be covered on Warranty.

2nd would be a Oberon Clutch slave cylinder, I still found the 899 clutch to be pretty heavy. Some say comfort seat is up there but there are lots of conflicting opinion on this so it would be a mod that I would go for later down the line.

  4. I got the comfort seat and the rad guard. Although not sure how much the Guard will really protect the rad...

  5. I guess you never know really until you 'need' it. Termi's always pop up, my experience is that Ducati's do benefit from ditching the cats and you usually get more midrange and smoother running but they are a massive outlay, and also not all like the noise (Loosers!).

  6. Do the rad guards just bolt in, can't imagine it being too much hassle to fit really...

  7. I think they do but I did see a post from someone that had a rad failure and the dealer 'claimed' that it's because they fitted a rad guard. As the dealer will probably have the fairings off for a PDI I would see if you can get them to fit it. Evotech was my choice on the 848, on that the just went straight on.

  8. Ventureshield paint protection kit, the red paint is quite soft and stone chips easily,
get it on from new, the bike will thank you for it !!

  9. Also I've been looking at BikeTrac and wondering if it is worth it, it's £299 I think and Ducati supported plus a £100 a year fee, but maybe it drastically reduces your insurance? I'm gonna at least play with some quotes to see what difference it makes

  10. The bike trac is pretty good, I got it on my bike for picking it up saved me a few hundred quid on ins. There good and quick at alerting you if the bike moves.

  11. Got some R&G tank grips to protect the paint and the R&G boot swingarm protectors also.

    Hopefully keep her looking nice.

  12. Oh... Just remembered that some Stomp Grips are a must as I kept smashing my nuts off the tank under braking! Haha.

  13. Rode my Panigale twice on track only and found you defo need grip tape on the tank. I also find the clutch a little heavy and would like to know more about the mod described above. Anybody know how much to do that mod?

  14. Thanks for the advice, however being that mine is mainly a road bike, I wouldn't get the value from replacing suspension mate.

  15. Fair comment I didn't know if you also rode on track. For what its worth the stock front end is fantastic with the big piston fork but the stock shock is a cheap unit.
