Any New Riders In Manchester??

Discussion in 'Newbies Hangout' started by Dimitris, Jun 26, 2014.

  1. I don't live in or near Manchester, it's 30 miles away, I've done enough riding and racing in the rain on wet British race tracks to give the wet stuff a miss, I wait for sunny days now. ;)

  3. As a new rider myself (I passed exactly a year ago) I would suggest solo ride outs to start with, the loneliness and solitude for me is a big part of the appeal of owning a motorcycle. I'm typing this from a local Costa where I rode out to this morning to read the paper in peace.

If it is the social scene you are after then ride out to your local biker cafe, you'll always end up chatting to someone, bikers are the most friendly accepting group of people I've ever met.

I would avoid riding in a group until you've built up some proper experience, riding with an experienced understanding friend is a good idea, you'll pick up loads of tips just watching.

    Good luck!!
