  1. stu... fit a steering damper, these bikes really really need one. I was almost off mine accelerating in a straight line when the head shakes threw me out of the saddle and over the screen, a brown trouser moment....BUY A DAMPER.

  2. stu, more pics and detailes ,year, miles etc etc.

and lovely bike by the way......health to enjoy her mate :upyeah:

  3. I had an Ohlins and Harris set up on mine. Really does help.

  8. Blimey Arthur, have you bought one too..................................;).Can anyone guess the story behind Arthurs last picture?A little clue,it may have caused a life changing incident.

  9. Ha yeah, think most will guess but for those who don't and have ageing rubber valve stems check them each year for cracks, this one nearly caught me out as when I returned I thought the tyre pressure was in need of adjusting turns out it fell off in my hand undoing the plastic cap! Lucky as I'd been out for a while, my fault for not looking at them and the MOT station for not checking them too!

  10. holy crap!

was out with friends once when braking from very high speed the mate on his gsxr750 just shot on up the road from our turn off, ends up he had no valve cap and the valve opened due we think to centrifugal forces and when braking the wheel just locked and the flat tyre spun ( felt like brake failure )on the rim.at the high speed c/force had kept the wheel in shape and when stoped it was totally flat....moral is always check valves inc cap.

  11. stu, do you like the paint sceme ? I think its beautiful BUT I don't think I could have lived with it if you know what I mean.it looks really really stunning in person though and I bet the sound is fantastic.
carry out the flapper and pair valve mod and fit k&n filters and hear the induction roar, I don't think this will increase horse power as the standard filters are so good already.

  12. I completely know where you're coming from re paint but she is not my everyday bike and all my others are understated so can live with it really.I have commented before about race rep stickers on Ducatis which IMO ruins the purity of the design in many cases (no offence to those that have )I will do the mods as you described as in comparison to my old 748R,there is no induction noise which is very Honda but they are missing a big element to the overall experience. I had a very sorted K6 GSXR 1000 too and what a air box noise that made with Pipercross filter.Absolutely ripped.

  13. Looks like someone has "Bostromed" up a Firestorm.

  14. My friend is selling his.

I'ts got a power commander that was rolling road setup at Steve Jordan's in Bookham.

He's after a Ducati now so perhaps might entertain a swap / part swap for the right bike. will get details if anyone is interested.
