  1. The new Ford Capri* £76 for Recaros, what a rip off.

    *Well, new in 1978 anyway.

  2. Just look at that fully packed engine bay. :eyes: An alternator is standard on all but the 1300cc. :grinning:

    I miss these days. :)

  3. My first car was a 1969 Ford Cortina Mk 2 1600E in Aubergine, luved that car and wish I still had it...

Had a Ford Transit from new and did 320,000 miles in it before changing it..

Fiesta XR2 - no power steering and a nightmare to park eg need Popeyes muscles..

    Had a XR3i

A Ford Puma twin cam ( weird but had an engine from Yamaha)

Liked the Zakspeed Capri and Zakspead RS2000

  4. Mk 3 Zodiac was my first one, a beautiful beast that cost me £50 back in 1979. The next one was a 1700cc V4 Transit a few years later which was my race transport for several years which used to get loaded up with a TZ350, RG500 and TZ750 along with wheels, spares and tools on a regular basis and travelled to wherever we had managed to get an entry. It also doubled up as overnight accomodation. Real shoestring budget back in the '80s.
