Anyone ever been to Misano?

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Stuart Fordyce, Nov 24, 2012.

  1. Gabbice is more relaxed. Cattolica is right next door and is a bit Blackpool in comparison.

Booking.com: Hotel Alexander, Gabicce Mare, Italy is run by a couple of very nice, very crazy Italians. Tell them you're friends of Posh Jerry, Stiff and Cheap Brandy

  2. I've stayed in Pesaro which is 12 miles down the coast, in a quiet hotel "vittoria" 30 metres from the sea. If you want a less frantic hotel this one might do the job. When the exchange rate was better in 2007 we had a great room with jacuzzi for £100/ night.
The ride up to the circuit each morning is a few minutes.

  3. I've stayed at the Hotel Dogana, Via III Settembre 65, in the Republic of San Marino. It is pleasant and welcoming, if rather quiet. Very easy ride down to Rimini.

  4. been several times for wsb and moto gp. misano is a great family resort with beautifull beaches and spotlessly clean.if you travel by train there is a station in the heart of the town,or you can fly to rimini or bologna forly or even bologna main airport. places to visit inc san marino(bring your walking shoes) tavulia where apparantly someone famous lives?????rimini or even bologna where there are tours of a factory(book first as you will be told to feck off at the gate!!!!please dont ask how i know this  )or if lovely italian gate keepers tell you to fecko offo from a certain factory then ferrari is worth a visit.
the racing itself is best watched from prato 1however the three day pass allowes you to wander everywhere on practice days( except the pit area) there is a shuttle service between misano and the track free of charge on race day however after the race its good maners to help dispose of cold beer in the bar at the front gates (along with a lot of the marshals).
we have stayed when there in the hotel vanni a family run hotel in the center of misano five min from the beach.they do full board with traditional italian home cooking and can be contacted via telephone if you ask for anna lisa.we normaly check flight availability then ring the hotel to check room for the necessary dates and the book, they have catered for as many as thirty drunk n irish at one time and even send a bus to collect and send to airport.
i would highly recommend a trio to this track, great racing great food and beer and great locals. cheers
