Anyone Going To World Ducati Week

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by DJan, Mar 7, 2024.

  1. That is gorgeous! Went to WDW in 2018, 4 bikes in a van, stayed in Tavullia and ate at Valentino’s restaurant which was friendly, with great food and not a rip off (which it could have been). It was seriously hot on the bike though!

  2. I’m absolutely gutted I’m not there, as I had a free ticket, but one of our friends is having a big birthday bash, which will probably be her last, so the stars weren’t aligned this time.

I do like the idea of flying down and renting a scooter for a few days though, so will go in 2 years time!

if it's any consolation it was 33⁰C today and set to get even hotter by Sunday (39⁰C). I decided to do the "must do" Parata once again (Ducatisti street ride out) My bike ran so hot I burnt my leg and I must have sweated for England. I've done five of these en masse rideouts. I think this will be my last. It was way way too hot. Dry clutch super grabby in the heat and the bike kept stalling off throttle, that and the frankly searing heat from the rear headers, meant I was glad to get off it. My leg looks like a piece of toast.

  4. I don’t miss the heat, that’s for sure. IIRC it hit 44 when we were there two years ago, and we spent most of the time looking for shade & cold drinks! Still an epic event though, I just wouldn’t ride my own bike there. I’d consider sending it down in a truck, and flying.

Apparently the 2026 WDW will be the biggest yet, as it marks a huge milestone for Ducati, so I’ll definitely be going then.
